Frequently asked questions
-
Do you accept insurance? Can you provide me with a super bill?
I do not accept insurance at this time. However, patients may submit itemized receipts or super bills to their insurance companies and are often reimbursed the out-of-network provider rate. Insurance providers often differ in their reimbursement policies and it is important to review your coverage carefully and consult with your insurer to address any questions.

What is a DNP? Can you prescribe medication?
A DNP, or Doctor of Nursing Practice, signifies a nurse who has completed the highest degree of educational training in the nursing profession. A DNP is a practicing degree—meaning that it includes advanced training and specific nursing skills and disciplines. In addition to having a DNP, I am also a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and can prescribe medications to individuals of all ages.

How long are our appointments and how frequently will we meet?
Our first appointment will last about one hour. Our subsequent visits will last between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the services. The frequency at which we will meet will depend on clinical need and patient preference. Typically, patients are seen monthly for medication management and more frequently for combined therapy and medication management.
